Vote for Jonesy for Pope

Post by MicheBel »

Imagine Jonesy and Shovel riding around in the Pontiff mobile...

(although I think the whole "common people voting for the pope" thing is total crap, but it's still a fun idea.)

Popes

Post by MicheBel »

well, there's a thought. No POPE at all.

Course, given how much coverage we've gotten over this one dying, I don't think that's likely. The sheep need someone to follow.

Ah yes, I forgot about the gragarious nature of our world... but at the same time, no pope could ever measure up to our dear dead one, so why not just leave it at that, I mean, the man was a rock-star!

Jonesy as Pope

Post by MicheBel »

Hence, the idea of Jonesy as Pope. But as I've said in other threads, I don't think Popes fart.

"Gamblers bet next pope will be old, European"

Post by assholitis »

Apparently in Ireland (and probably here as well) gamblers are taking bets on who the new Pope will be:

"DUBLIN (Reuters) - Gamblers are betting on two elderly cardinals from France and Germany to be the next pope, according to Irish bookmaker Paddy Power.
Odds on Germany's Joseph Ratzinger, who prior to Pope John Paul's death was the number four choice, have shortened to 4-1 and France's Jean-Marie Lustiger has come from nowhere to join him at the top of the list."

Wow, gambling and the Catcholic church. Talk about your contradictions, eh? Say, does anybody have a Pope betting pool going on at work? :)

interesting pope titles

Post by Guest »

If Oprah was pope would she then be called Poperah?

If Jonesy became pope would he add "pope of pop" to his list of titles?

I did vote, twice.

Does Jonsey have the right policy to lead the catholic church forward?

I am curious to know Jonsey positions on....

1. Banning those funny pointed hats that the catholic prists wear. They kinda look KKK don't they? Time for a fashion makeover?
2. Gay marrige for the catholic public. Yea or nea? Marrige bettween priests and girls, could this help?
3. Child molostaton wthin the church. should it continue to be ignored & covered up or will Jonsey confront it?
4. Nazi war criminals, should they be protected by the church or exposed & punished?
5. Who would Jonsey elect as vice-pope & why?
6. If elected will Jonsey broadcast Jonsey's Jukebox from L.A or broadcast live from the Vatican.

I guess not since apparently our new pope, Benedict XVI, was a former member of the Nazi youth movement? Tsk tsk.

You would think that by now the Vatican would be trying to cut it's ties with it's Nazi past. I guess not.
