Haggis:

Haggis is wonderful stuff but although I may be a resident of Scotland I am a Sasannach - an English bastard in fact. However I will defend the grate chieftain o' the puddin' race and being pretentious I can spell Sasannach correktly - cos let me tell you by the way there is no double S in Scottish Gaelic!

BTW If you don't like the idea of all that sheep's gut, you can get Vegetarian haggi too which are alright. Best served with turnips, mash and a fine malt whisky.

Jack's Shack:

I like it here - I'm slowwwwww on the uptake in responding I was away from computers practically for 2 weeks. I was never kidnapped! I came here of my own free will like a lamb to the slaughter...Gidget set me up in fact, it was her, it was, it was!!!

Interesting to read how Indie buggered off to myspace, its all Tom the great advertising man's fault innit - probly.

My space:

Myspace is insane - there is so much advertising there, its like an electronic billboard. I hate the ipod ads, those goddam spiders on my desktop. The dark side.........

Nazi myspace:

I especially have an intense dislike for those scabrous, rankerous, poxy stupid, silly and immature Nazi arsch hole fools with their "tomorrow belongs to me" philosophy. Yeah well if AH was all that he wouldn't have LOST would he? AH. bottled out - topped himself because he was too gutless to wait for the Soviets to string him up in Red Square! They forget that... :-) But I don't!

See their profiles on myspace, eh? I got quite upset when I saw some fool of an ayran devotchka - one picture she uploaded showed her sitting on her car boot with her two blonde haired daughters giving it the Sieg heils. Her expression suggesting that she had just said:

"Smile for the camera kids."

For people she wanted to meet in her profile she had.

"People who hate!!"

And what sickens me the most is that presumably Tom has made money out of their racist filth and hate as much as he does from sound as a pound punters. Plonk the lot of 'em somewhere not very nice. Perhaps they can all piss off to the worlds number one Anti-social networking site instead.

They got quite upset when we started to complain. Threatened us - sad little tosser uniform fetishistas that they all are.

Nuff Nazis. Lets get back into the light......

Nice to meet you Glenn - keep posting to the juke! :)

Hello Annie that is who I am. :)

Now could someone let me out of this carboot I think I see Joe Pesci and he's got a meeeeeeanie look on his face!

I've only had one experience with a dumb white pride dumbass on myspace. As I have been SHARP for a VERY long time I take no time out of my day for those dumbasses. One of them kept coming into The Adicts chatroom and finally doesn't come back as I told him that in that chat, none of that white pride crap will be discussed or we will all ignore him. He didn't like being ignored one little iota, sooooo....he left and never returned. The problem I have is the kids only like 16 and I feel bad for him for being misled into that way of life. I really tried to make him see how ignorant it was to put blinders on like that but he wouldn't listen to reason. He may come in that chat every once in awhile as I haven't been in there in quite some time. But I'm kinda passionate about the fact that color, race, religion, creed, none of that matters.....what really matters is that we are all human's living on the same planet and "can't we all just get along". But then again, I'm also a career Airman in the US Air Force. 14 years now! Sooo, obviously we can't ALL just get along, otherwise I wouldn't have a job. Which would be fine as well! Just my 2 cents worth!
And if you've never seen it with your own eyes, it just don't make sense!- Josie

I didn't go looking for them - I know I felt sorry for 'em too Nursie. Its a rebellion innit? Wearing them twisted crosses and admiring that sorry gang of thieves and liars. The mad Brian Jones Massacre on my space in his one man war with BUSH and the Iraq thing which I don't wanna get into - posted about 'em, that was how I became aware. The jb bloggers tell me there are quite a few of 'em in LA. too.

The Adicts? Punk band from - well there were punks in East Anglia who loved 'em but I think they came from the NE. of these far fair shores? Tell me? Personally I prefer Splodgenessabounds :-)

I haven't worn a kilt since I graduated, thanks for the info Stuartmm. I went to a mad - well you might call it a Ceilidh - but its a "Mod" once where this pissed drunk Highlander from Islay, lovely Gaelic they have there you know, oh yes. Anyway he was going on about how he'd lost his sgian dubh (black knife) from the leg of his kilt sock, so he'd stuffed an ordinary table fork down there instead!

More Burns:

Fair fu yer honest sonsie face!
O grate chieftian 'o the puddin' race

It is (haggis) piped in - bagpipes are noisy in
enclosed environments. Poyems are read to it.
The cult of Burns the Ayrshire poet is celebrated
I hear the knives being sharpened as they wait to
cut into it.

Now Scotland has had greater poets, eclipsed
forever by the "plooman" from the S.W.

I'm not talking about McGonagall either!

It is a Lowland cult really but identified with Scotland as a whole.

Come now people will be rushing into our booktown
frantic for Burns stuff cos they have to address the
lassies, or the laddies with Burn's poetry.

Burns who shagged anything in a dress

Its a celebration of eroticism and the common man.
and the songs and their original and adopted tunes
and er, haggis...so that can't be bad.

Trivial fact:

In the flawed Brit punk film "Jubilee" the 2 boys sing:

"My love is like a red red rose."

That's a lovely Burns song.

I love folk music, me.
and original Adam and the Antz.

Nuff Burnsiania

etc.

Eeesssh...Chris...I have a story about wearing a swastika:

I was about 16 and I thought (ok, thought gives the appearance that I had well, actually pondered the whole thing, which I assure you I had not) wearing a swastika earring was the perfect way to tell people to fuck off. I went home and my Da says...Ahhhh Gidget...yes you ARE Hitler's dream, aren't you? Blonde hair, blue eyes. Yes indeed. But let me tell you something about the Aryan brotherhood and those KKK fools that we have here. They don't care much for CATHOLICS either. So, before you put that symbol on your body, you might want to give that some thought. I never wore that symbol again. It was an easy lesson learned at the knee of a man who had given the matter much thought.

As for the people on MySpace...there's a band there.called Prussian Blue...not really a band...more of a duo...twin girls who are all of 13 years old and their parents are racists and they trot these children around this country singing their white pride songs at AB rallies. It sickens me to think that these children are being programmed for a future that includes only their own "race". What's even worse is that I have to assume that these children are being ostracized because of their parent’s racial purity stance and are being denied a "normal" upbringing. I honestly believe that this type of parenting is abusive. I am not sure what could/should be done about it, but I hope that these girls eventually understand that this type of separation from other races and religions is truly evil.

It’s sad, very, very sad. I can't believe that MySpace give these people a place to propagate their bullshit.

Yes, The Adicts are from the kindly shores of England. A couple of them live here in Cali now though. They are one of my favorites. Them, The Damned, and Adam Ant are my top 3! But there are many many more as I don't only listen to punk. I listen to all music that sounds good to my tender ears. LOL! Obviously, from my ID, DI is also another one I really like. I used to think Casey Royer was hot until the tragic day that I watch "Little Runaway". I lost all interest after I saw that porn flick. I was highly disappointed! Of course I bleedin' don't, woooo he looks like one scary corporate head honcho, eh :-) Great stuff Glenn - wonder what he looks like in a kilt, I know what the gardener looks like.

That's it - no point in tying yerself down to one particular music style is there?

Your Dad was wise Gidge - my Dad just said "You're not going out looking like that." Basically like you we thought the swastika meant fuck you but I can't say that I wasn't aware of its significance.

I mean bike gangs and the Angels used it. A lot of early Brit punks bought it into it's rather dodgy fashion - Sex Pistols couturiers Mclaren and Westwood were to blame. Destroy pattern shirts, numerous mohairs, Reid's rejected art work for God Save the Queen. The Karl Marx "Anarchy" shirts where sewn-on silk Communist hero patches of Mao, Stalin, Lenin etc were mixed hah "juxtaposed" with situationist slogans and things from the Spanish Civil War and jumbled up with Nazi German National emblems. It made for a confusing dangerous statement. We were playing with symbollock loaded guns and it would be stupid for a lot of us to claim that we didn't know what the swastika meant. Originally it is an ancient sanskrit sun wheel. You'll find it curiously enough also carved into some English medieval churches. The confusion led to the National Front in Britain during that period before Maggie - hijacking the punks and turning them to their racist means. That led to Rock against Racism as a counter reaction.

For a summary of punk and the swastika - go to Karl's excellent.
controversial Summer of hate site.

http://www.acc.umu.se/~samhain/summerof ... .html#punk

The New York Dolls were dressed by Mclaren in hammers and sickles pre Sex Pistols. It wasn't very popular.

Nuff nazis, nuff, nuff, nuff.

I'll definitely add you to myspace Nursie.

Cheers!!!

Nope...I like a lot of stuff. Everything from Desmond Dekker to Godsmack. The only kind of music that I really don't care for is R & B and the new Rap. I like some of the older Rap though, like MC Flash and the Fabulous 5, Public Enemy, Run DMC, Beastie Boys, and of the newer stuff, Eminem and only like 2 or 3 others. I just don't get most of the Rap stuff. Which is fine, I can't like everything everything! LOL! Most of the stuff I listen to is from Europe though. I love Rammstein, which I got my CDs in Germany when it was suggested to me by a guy in a music shop as a new local band in Stuttgart back in like 1995 or so. Anyways, music is my escape from life. I have had a lot of really bad experiences in my life and music has always been there to calm me down and make me feel comfy. It's the one thing that won't do the things to me that have happened to me. It keeps me sane so to speak.
