And where I live, the PD is also animal control...this puppy has a tag, but because it's Saturday night, there aren't any animal control officers on duty....

I tried calling the County AC, but they said that they can't come into La Habra because they don't have a contract with us....the lady suggested that I call the PD back and ask if they had kennel space that I could at least drop the dog off at...and the PD said that the kennel that they have isnt suitable because they have no food and water...I offered to bring that and then she said that it is going to be 34 degrees tonight and that the kennel would be too cold...I told her...the dog is sleeping outside here because I can't bring him in...the answer was still no....

I wonder what happens when an animal is hit by a car at night here...sheesh

I hate hearing stuff like that.....it's heartbreaking....even for a cat lover like me....
