~rant on~

Now, I love the Olympics...I actually don't watch anything BUT the Olympics when they are on...My son says...MOM....you really LIKE the Olympics, don't you? I say...damned tootin' I do...now...gimme a slice of pie...

Anyway...what's stuck in my craw is the NBC spots that say...The Olympics...starting PROMPTLY at 8:00 p.m. PROMPTLY, as opposed to being late? Or perhaps, tardy? do they think that we are idiots? I mean, I know that they think we are idiots, but in the days and times of TIVO, I think that we all understand what time the show starts.
