I have just received a private message from Jack stating that he deleted my direct response to statements made by Michelle because they were off-topic. Well, sorry but that is a load of crap. Everyone goes off topic all the time. Rotter posts his dirty little obscenities anywhere he likes & photos get posted that have nothing to do with the conversation. That's not OFF-TOPIC? If Jack is going to delete any posts that make him "uncomfortable", then I'm done here. I've asked him to delete my account. Even he doesn't, this is my last post. Reading all this stuff takes up to much time anyway. It was fun, at least for awhile. I will miss talking to most of you but many of you are already my friends on Myspace so I'll talk to you there. By choice, I still have a small number of Myspace friends so it is still like an exclusive club. I will gladly welcome any of my friend's from this forum as new Myspace friends.

I didn't finish deleting the posts. I was going to delete all the off topic posts in that Dicky thread because it is just way too long and ridiculous. I was planning on cleaning out page 6 and work on the rest later, but I let Robert know that I didn't delete him because I thought his post was out of line. His post was fine, but it was in the wrong section. There are almost a hundred of you guys and only 1 of me. I work from daylight to daylight and I spend a long long time moderating on here. I know there are a lot of nasty things going on around here and I'm trying to get rid of the bashing and off-topic posts, but it isn't easy. I also don't want to delete anyone off here and piss people off because I want everyone to be happy, although, there are a few people on here that I should probably delete... but I'm a nice guy. I'm trying my best and I hope you didn't take that deletion personal because it wasn't. If you check that thread now, it should be clean.

Nicely put, Jack. And I appreciate that despite a lot of criticism, you still have refrained from actually deleting any members. In addition, I'll repeat what has been said over and over again, that we all appreciate the fact that you've given us this forum to meet and discuss various topics with each other. The Shack is the best!
However, I have to cringe and disagree with the recent warnings regarding foul language and such. If I believe correctly, all the members here who post are all well above the age of 18. There are no children here who read the posts, and the forum itself is not intended for nor utilized by children. Therefore, I don't know if there's really a problem with cussing. Furthermore, as Robert pointed out, there are other members who have made numerous posts that were not only off-topic, but contained graphic and offensive language.
I think the only reason this whole issue has even come to a head is because Miche has insisted on running to our beloved moderator as soon as someone wrote a curse word about her. This only confirms what everyone says that she is egocentric and only concerned about herself. Rather than confront the issue as has been done in the past when others have been insulted, she immediately runs to you, like a school girl tattling to her teacher. When in actuality, it was her antagonistic and insulting posts last week which led to this backlash against her in the first place.
For months now, many people have had a problem with her and yet there was never an issue because she and they ignored each other and made their respective posts. Things would have stayed this way, peaceful and fun, if Miche had not insisted on posting intentionally rude and obnoxious comments on a topic which was already expressed as being very personal and serious to several members. Although Miche has sometimes made comments that a lot of us(myself included) disagree with, we've had the courtesy and respect to refrain from posting and move on. Miche could have done this regarding the Mighty Morning Show post, but did not. Now she wants to complain about all the negative responses and bad vibes she is getting.
We all love Jack's Shack and I hope that nothing this week or further on will cause this great place to come to an end.
P.s. Robert's a great guy and a member of the Shack that always has something insightful and witty to say. I'm hoping he and Jack can work things out and he'll return.

I noticed that a lot of my posts were deleted as well and I have not attacked Miche. I accept responsibility for the verbotten cursing in the two posts and okay, so they were deleted, big deal. However, deleting the because you felt they were off-topic, is this not sensorship in and of it's own? How many conversations do you have that contain only one topic? I know that when I modulate (speak), I constantly talk about many things, not just one. I tried several times to break the tension with my, "just move along" type posts. And you have decided that they should be deleted because they were "off-topic". That's a crock!! But, I have Team Goon and Myspace, so I guess I can go post my "off-topic" comments there. Funny though, as a punk would decide to censor whatever he feels like. Goes against the basics of being a punk or being original!

One last thing....If Miche's glouting over somebody being fired is not the epitome of meanspiritedness...I do not know what is....If she had truely wanted to be a member here, and not just an irritant, who acts with impunity and at will...she would have kept her big trap shut...we ALL know how she feels and her behavior here just goes to show that all that has been said is TRUE about her.....

I'm not censoring because everything was off topic or everyone was being mean and nasty and whatever, that thread was about the show, not about miche and it went on for pages and pages and pages and people were bugging the hell out of me about it and I got tired of it. I basically stripped page 3 to page 6 regardless of the content. This bashing needs to stop. If this was a restaurant or something, you wouldn't be talking shit about the person sitting next to you? And you wouldn't be talking shit about one of the employees at the restaurant when the employees are looking over you would you? If I were the owner of the restuarant, I would have thrown those people out a long time ago, but I waited to see if people would figure it out themselves. It didn't happen, and now it's gotten to the point where it's unpleasant for everyone to have a decent conversation, so I'm going to start cleaning up things around here. I'm very tired and I don't want to be mean and nasty, but I have to so I won't be spending hours and hours and hours trying to make someone happy just to piss someone else off.
This board is for everyone to have fun. And right now, it's making Indie look bad and making me look bad. I'm sorry if some of you don't agree with me, but I just can't handle the he said she said BS anymore.
