Damn! I had my post deleted again! I made no mention of names. I just made a generalization of a type of person! It was also relevent to the thread. I am sure this will get the axe also. It is a very sad day when one person can express themselves, and the other can't. Playing favorites sucks. More so when you are not one of the favorites!

It kinda reminds me of the Beatles and Sex Pistols. They had a great thing going on. Enter Yoko and Nancy and everything goes to hell!

Nancy was a groupie also!

Rent Domino. You'll never want to see/hear Keira Knightley again. Hopefully Miche isn't a big Keira Knightley fan or this might get deleted by day's end.

And it seems you and I are not alone in feeling this way...
So what's the deal, I wonder - were Steele, et al. really thinking none of us would feel this way after putting somebody on the air that so many of us felt a real connection to, and that gave us such a fun show, and then yanking him away so nastily? We (my wife and I) really like Dicky. It wasn't just that the "crusty Boston guy" persona was appealing, although it was. It was that it wasn't a persona, it was him - and I don't think that is true with most "radio professionals." At least it doesn't feel that way.
Sorry - I know I am not saying anything new here. I guess I still need to vent. And I still think I need to make a t-shirt with the new "Indy" motto on it ("Indy" 103.1 FM - Now 100% Dickless)

You should continue to vent, Jeb, and vent in Indie's management's direction, often and loudly.

Venting to their sponsors is a good idea too.

I'll be mailing them more comments from all over the net this week, as I did last week.

Gooch wrote:I'd buy two of those shirts!!!!
I am going to try to get one from Spreadshirt. If I understand correctly, you can buy a shirt from them that is just text without setting up a "shop" and agreeing to a contract, etc. If you do teh e-shop you can make graphic designs, etc. but the terms of the contract state no infringement of third party copyrights/trademarks. I believe parody, etc. is considered "fair use" and protected legally but I am not sure.
Maybe I can call Joe E. and ask his legal advice haw haw.
Anyway I will let you know what happens. For all I know they will review it even though it is just text and say sorry no. Not sure how long it will take to find out - later today? A few days?
I'll let you know as soon as I find out....

Wait....don't listen to me... I think you can upload a design (jpeg, gif, or png) without becoming a "partner"... I think it just means you make and buy one for yourself, rather than selling to the public on the web.
I'm sorry. I have no excuse... I have already had two cups of coffee...
But I guess it does mean that if somebody here came up with a cool design, they could email it around to us all and we could buy shirts.

Thanks for the kind comments...
Y'all have my official permission to use it for anything you want... myspace, avatar, web page, bumper sticker, billboard, whatever.
Also, if anyone is a graphics superstar and wants the original photoshop file (i.e. .PSD with the layers still there) I will happily give it to them to make whatever improvements they want. I may still make some changes to it myself.
I haven't tried it yet, but Spreadshirt lets you upload jpegs and print them on shirts, sweatshirts, undies, etc. They do make you agree that you aren't violating any copyrights or intellectual property. You already have my explicit permission to use it, and as for Indy, I'm pretty sure parody/satire qualifies as fair use so they shouldn't be able to sue.
Wouldn't that be great PR for them, anyway? "Yeah, we're suing disgruntled listeners. We figure that should force them to be happy with us again..."
