KROQ casette recordings was the only way to hear punk back in the day when I was growing up in Bakersfield. People would send these cassette tapes of Rodney on the ROQ so we could hear what's out there. If it wasn't for those tapes....I wouldn't know anything about punk other than what I saw on TV and that wasn' much. Although, Night Flight was a hella good show that showed lots of punk stuff...like Alien Sex Fiend, The Cramps, Circle Jerks, DI, etc...I miss Night Flight...damn good Friday night show! Anyone else remember it??

I wish I could tell the stories of a true "aladdin sane" crusin round
in beep cars listening to KROQ.....but it sounds so uncool these
days!...sides Im saving it for the screenplay

...I still listen to kroq sometimes but...well you how it is these days.

Yeah, I remember Night Flight too. USA network. Nothing else like it on tv at the time. Found a website about it with some video downloads -
