Happy Fourth!
I hope everyone has fun on blowing up stuff, and eating and drinking too much day!!

You forgot "sweat like a horse" day! (Contrary to the cliche, pigs don't sweat but horses sure do.) Have a great day everyone! Celebrate your freedom & independence in your own personal (& hopefully legal) way.July Cleaver wrote:

Well, I'm all re-enlisted now! I will have pics soon, that is, when the hubby decides to download them for me! I did it this morning for the 4th and it was my final time to re-enlist, it will take me all the way to retirement!
And if you've never seen it with your own eyes, it just don't make sense!- Josie

Good for you, Josie! Congrats, and Cheers!
Had a good fourth, overall - my son was a little out of sorts, he's been fighting the flu for the last couple of days, but he was feeling really good tonight, so I took him to the doubletree hotel, where my neighbor plays eagles and steve miller covers at the roof top bar - which overlooks Doheny beach. I swear it's the best place ever to watch fireworks! Cocktail service - heaters, fabulous pizza, and unobstructed views of the fireworks! (I may make it a tradition!) Plus, Jack was surrounded by friends - so it made the fireworks go from scarey in the beginning - to really cool by the end!
Happy Fourth to everyone!

You know....I am totally against the war in Iraq, but I would love to see a missle fly striaght up Kim Jong-Il's ass. He is worse than his father was. I am not opposed to a sanctioned assassination! This guy is a danger to the whole world!DIsPervertNurse wrote:And North Korea's gonna see a "special" fireworks show if they keep this shit up!!!
PS. Nursie, don't worry as much as I hate the war, I love our troops and support them whole-heartedly.
I feel all itchy!

No worries OOPsie. I don't like the war either! But I want to do what I need to do especially knowing what my actual job is! I would love to shove an ICBM up Kim Jung-Il's ass so far that Saddam feels it! But, as I'm on a different part of the playing field, I don't make those decisions. But I can say this, watch the world's response to this disregard for the cease-fire and the moritorium that HE SIGNED! The world is VERY upset about this and the US may not need to lead the way on this one! In fact, Japan is leading the way more than we are! Although, I must say, sucks that I'm going to Korea now more than ever before!

Oh yes, I'm going to Korea in November. I had orders there about 2 months ago. I sure hope that they don't get moved up though with all this shit going on! But if they do, fine, so be it. This isn't a deployment though, this is a normal PCS (Permanent Change of Station). It was my time to move on and it just so happens that he is showing his ass at about the time I am doing my stuff to move. At this point I'm glad that I chose an unaccompanied tour. That asked me if I wanted to try to get a command sponsor so that my family can go with me...I think not! I never intended on taking them with me anyway cuz I know what goes on over there and it's no place for my family. So that was a no-brainer for me to select. But yes, to answer the question, I am moving to Korea in November. I will be there for a year (or more if this shit breaks out big). I will be in touch as often as I can via the internet of course once I get internet.

I support you and everything that you do, Nursie....being a family law paralegal.....I understand having the vested retirement,,,you have done and continue to do service to this country and deserve every dime....when there was talk of them cutting you loose....you know I was pissed....because that's just bullshit...one/two years short.....you have given your life and your families life to your service and deserve the compensation that should follow...
