To be quite honest, I dunno. My kids like them and I can't stand them! They are one of the most annoying creatures next to that Bo-Bah shit that took their place. I don't know what kids see in these two shows, but whoever invented it HAD to have been smoking something. Have you actually watched the shows?
And if you've never seen it with your own eyes, it just don't make sense!- Josie

My son went through a teletubbie phase - but thankfully, he has moved on. I have to admit, getting hypnotised by that show, when jack was smaller, and I was more sleep deprived.
Now we watch "little einsteins" and "Jack's big music show" fairly regularly. They are infinatley more tolerable.

...and then at the end of the letter I like to write "P.S. - this is what part of the alphabet would look like if Q and R were eliminated.-- Mitch Hedberg

Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT let him see "The Wonder Pets" on Nick! OMFG...just as bad as some of that Barney crap!

Beware!
The Teletubbies theme song with an upbeat techno feel to it was a top ten hit in the UK in about 1997 which is how long those strange creatures have been going.
They used to drive me nuts but I have to agree July, in a sleep deprived state it is very passible television. Tubby toast anyone?
Under twos in the UK seemed to absolutely love them.
Cheerio.
