Why would he be waiting for a pro-Kroq list from you of all people? You're one of the staunch anti-KROQ people. He'll be waiting a long time if he's waiting for that. Now maybe if Halloran joined here...

Stryker's cool. I have no problem with him at all. He would be a good person to have. He could serve as our ambassador to KROQ. And if anybody here worked for KROQ I would think you all would think it was me (it isn't). And speaking of Jed, he broke "The Killers", played a song called "On Top" for one of his catches of the day about a year ago. I "The Killers" at the Wiltern and guess who introduced them... Jed the Fish. Too bad they came on after Tegan and Sara they were such a let down, everyone went to get food and to the bathroom!

Yeah, I like Jed. As I was telling Annie, it took balls to say what he said about KROQ's treatment of Rodney in The Mayor of Sunset Strip. I'm sure Kevin Weatherly over at KROQ wasn't too thrilled about that. I'm glad they didn't try to demote him for that. Have you heard the message that Jed left on Brent Bolthouse's voicemail asking to be on his show. Good stuff.

And Tom, I'm sure you're not a KROQ employee and wave your Indie flag proudly. But does it piss you off that KROQ hasn't caught on and started playing Walking With a Ghost yet? Or at least Speak Slow?

Too bad Freddie Snakeskin isn't still on KROQ. That was when KROQ was actually good. Well, they were good before they became corporate. Jed is probably my favorite DJ, beside Rodney, and Jason Bentley, who is also on KCRW.

I think Jed and Rodney on Indie would totally fit, and they'd get to play what they wanted. Well, Rodney does already, but at least Jed would be free to do what he really wants again.

I heard that Freddie Snakeskin got fired from KROQ for stealing stuff. He was then a DJ in Las Vegas for a while, now he's a DJ on Swedish Eagle's online only station, of which I can't remember the name of or know the URL of, but can find out if anyone is interested.

I miss the good ol' days of great radio. Nothing can compare to old classic KROQ, post 1977/pre 1983.

Richard Blade retired to the Bahamas for a few years, I think to teach scuba diving, about 4-5 years ago. He then returned to the States about a year or two ago and was DJing 80s music on STAR 98.7 last time I checked. I don't know if he's still doing that or not.

I met him a couple of times and Richard was very nice. He was especially nice to me during the call in to leave Moz a personal message. Those message later ended up on the Morrissey at KROQ EP.
I will always be grateful to him for that. Probably the closest I will ever get to the great Moz...*sigh*
