The saviors of Modern SoCal punk?

Post by The Rizen shloemoe »

Love these guys..didn't start getting into em till early 90's.
The album "suffer" has been said to have saved the SoCal
punk scene....

Melody+brain-food=Bad Religion
Image
They cite Adolesents and the Jerks as some of their influences
...I think they kick ass on those bands!!!!

I saw them 2 years on the Warped Tour. They were awesome. Of course, you do know that they are no longer PUNK (according to Gidge.)
I'm in shape! Round is a shape!

They have punk roots...as do Social D....Offspring....etc....it's the crossover that makes Bad Religion not be the "saviors" of punk...IMHO....with that said...I like Social D...Bad Religion and Offspring....and they ALL site the Adolescents as well as many others as influences (ok...maybe not Social D...because Ness et all were friends with the boys in the Ads and around at the same time).....

I saw em last year at Disneyland(AHOB) was kinda
wierd thinkin bout it...They weren't too enamored
of the "Magic Corporation" and said so...but it was
cool...

I'm not so sure they're punk anymore either...I
think they transend the genre...double cool!!!

Ain't heard em much on the radio lately?

I saw them open for Pearl Jam in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, they were boring. I generally find them boring (Bad Religion)

I was only 18 then and looked about 12 years old, so beer would have been tough to get
