Flipping like through wiki ya know, and I came across what
for me is a puzzling bit o trivia. A lot of alternative bands
from 80's-90's cite the band "Big Star" as an influence.
Ive never heard of em....have you?
It seems that the theme song from the tv show "that 70's show"
covered by cheap trick was originally recorded by BS...
The producers selected it because they said it was examplary
of the 70's rock songs....whaaa?...anybody heard o Big star?
...I grew up in the LA area radio market so maybe that's why?
