My mom used to listen to all that when I was a kid...I can't hear it, or 80s hair metal, or 80s music in general except for like Depeche Mode and Tears for Fears without wanting to caus serious harm to myself and those around me.

Especially Meat Loaf.

But I do enjoy meat loaf for supper now and then.

I dont like all meat loaf. Just his one song. He has a lot of crap.

It's just straight rock really. No hair metal, was 77 too so no 80's. (I like 80's the best as it happens - 90's suck)

Bat out of hell is comparible to Bohemiem Rhapsody in my book.

I wasn't saying he was hair metal or anything, I was just commenting that I don't like it, or any thing else I mentioned.

I do have to admit that 2 outta 3 ain't bad always had a soft spot in my heart though...

I liked that entire first Bat Out of Hell album but the later stuff sucked, especially that "I would do anything for love but I won't do that"crap.
You can always tell a Jim Steinman song, no matter who sings it. He wrote or co-wrote most of Meatloaf's songs but also "Total Eclipse of the Heart" for Bonnie Tyler, "Making Love Out of Nothing At All" for Air Supply (& Bonnie Tyler) & "It's All Coming Back To Me Now" for Celine Dion. (Meatloaf just recorded it too.) They are always big, emotionally over-wrought songs.
