My kingdom for a drummer!!!

Post by The Rizen shloemoe »

Ya know... the drums is about the most important
piece in a rock band....that beat is the frame work
that ya fit the meat on...but finding a drummer that
aint an asshole is the whole rub....here's a trib to
one of my fav's...you might have heard an ol song
called "when the levy breaks" that this guy did...
gotta be one of the most over "sampled" pieces
EVER!!!!

John Bonham!!!

Yeah I had a phase like that...it came much later than
the whole "punk" thing...I didn't really get into punk
till metal died(thank god!!!)...so I guess by that critera
Im not a "real" punk(witness my re-examination of the classics)
...But as my juevenile arrest record will indicate I
was very much a "real punk" of another kind...

No it wasn't....you know what is was like back then, Jilly...all the jocko sporto Led Zep fans used to kick punk's asses left and right...we had Zeppelin....and it seemed like a pretty suweeeeet reason to throw a party...one of our tormentors heros was dead as fuck and we couldn't have been happier....

You know what they say about drummers....they make better bangers....

A drummer drummer told me that once....didn't stick around to find out....

I would have made this thread about him...the greatest ever!
...but i'd just heard "when the levy's gonna break"... You know
every session he had to "re-learn" the drums...Ol shloe knows
a thing or two bout genius and it has a lot to do with knowing
about what to forget...what was I saying?....anyway..good heads
up Jr.....(in Johhny Carson voice)...I did not know that....

Uh-oh, what happened. Mr Shovel said he was gonna play all of Led Zep IV except Stairway to Heaven. He played "Black Dog" but then he played New York Dolls. Someone must have interferred with his master plan.
