Finally saw The Who at 43...very mixed feelings...
took me 15year old daughter, so at least she got some
exposure to what a REAL rock band is/was....they didn't play
hardly any o MY favs...kinda felt like I was watching
a tribute band...the drummer is Ringo Stars kid Zac
Starkey...doesn't even try to emulate Keith(that sucked)
but Im grateful to say I've seen The Who....Kinda.
wished I'da seen em when I was a kid!

...full crowd, almost sold out....Rock is Dead?
was good to see that anyhow!

Image

opener "Tragically Hip"?...they played half n hour...missed em
...was standing in line fer cocktails...dont ya know?
(dont Canadians alway say things like "dont ya know?)
Hahahahahaha....funny......bunny!...avril.... Napanee! :D
(that's rotter bait BTW..nobody else trip  )

That song reminds me of my youth in New Zealand.

I would like to see The Who one day.

95.5 klos played a bunch o who songs for the drive
home after the show last night...woke up this morning
with this one WAY stuck in my head....let me "sing" it
for you(uh hum....@$#^%TRH$..throate clearing noises)

The Who, In Tune

I'm singing this note 'cause it fits in well
With the chords I'm playing
I can't pretend there's any meaning here
Or in the things I'm saying

But I'm in tune
Right in tune
I'm in tune
And I'm gonna tune
Right in on you
Right in on you
Right in on you

I get a little tired of having to say
"Do you come here often?"
But when I look in your eyes and see the harmonies
And the heartaches soften

I'm getting in tune
Right in tune
I'm in tune
And I'm gonna tune
Right in on you (right in on you)
Right in on you (right in on you)
Right in on you

I've got it all here in my head
There's nothing more needs to be said
I'm just bangin' on my old piano
I'm getting in tune with the straight and narrow
(Getting in tune with the straight and narrow)
Getting in tune with the straight and narrow
(Getting in tune with the straight and narrow)
Yeah, I'm getting in tune with the straight and narrow
(Getting in tune with the straight and narrow)

I'm singing this note 'cause it fits in well
With the way I'm feeling
There's a symphony that I hear in your heart
Sets my head a-reeling

But I'm in tune
Right in tune
I'm in tune
And I'm gonna tune
Right in on you (right in on you)
Right in on you (right in on you)
Right in on you

Baby, with you
Baby, with you
Baby, with you
Baby, with you
Baby, with you

I've got it all here in my head
There's nothing more needs to be said
I'm just bangin' on my old piano
I'm getting in tune with the straight and narrow

Getting in tune with the straight and narrow [repeat]

yeah...good stuff man....where's my time machine?
