From Protest to Resistance

Post by Glenn »

Conflict play the Key Club Sat March 31st. Anyone going? I think I am for old times sakes. Perhaps the best crass punk band ever.

Common Jack, put some Conflict into your playlist & interview the all time greats for your show.

FROM PROTEST TO RESISTANCE...LYRICS...

No, there's no fucking way that anything's going to change, it depends on you and you now!. We can protest till death, they won't listen, don't sit back and think It will happen. They won't give up what they've robbed, stand up and resist.
But the leaders have caught on, we see that they've prepared for civil war. while on our side we squabble about who does what and who sells more
There's women with Just one reason, to fight for their equality forgetting
the system holds superiority.
First we've got to come together, so fuck the differences, It doesn't matter
If It's noise or music to them WE ALL talk piss. To them we're the sick farce now let's prove them right. If we're to stand the slightest chance, we must unite and fight,
We must never give up, make sure our message ain't forgotten that's If they won't fucking stop, then we're gonna fucking stop them

YEAH!!!

"The Seranade is Dead" is me fav Conflict song. Brings tears to my eyes.
Standard Issue - fucking amazing.

Ah yes as my good friend "Chainsaw" used to say.

Confliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiict!.

I liked Poison Girls too Glen and Flux and HoneyBane before she sold out - maybe.

Enjoy the gig.

621984.

"Bullshit Detector?" Album of lots of new bands that were pretty Crassy. I liked "Caine Mutiny and the Calisti apples of nonsense" - mainly for the mad name.

and "the Disrupters." Norwich's finest Anarcho unit with their dittys,

Bomb heaven
Shelters for the Rich
Napalm.

Good old Crass is what I say. Great band, great stunts.

Cheerio

"Do you feel insulted when they pull out the dope?"

What's brought this Rotrant on John?

A good friend of mine saw The Expoited's "Fook Crass, bunch ay fuckin' hippies, ken?" Watty having a good snog with Shaved woman herself Eve Libertine at a Yoothanasia gig at the Anarchy centre in London, which was itself set up on the proceeds of sales of Bloody Revolutions/Big A little A.

Personally I thought Crass were a very intelligent band - too clever for me and just a bit too puritan too but their music was very cheap to buy, their artwork was amazing. Check Gee Vaucher out.

They gave a lot of disaffected people a reason to form bands. Bands like Conflict and Flux and of course Zounds. They got those bands music out too. Hence the Bullshit detectors. Bands that would have not had a chance in hell to cut vinyl got their product out.

Nevermind the veggies, Crass also made CND a viable movement in the 80's for the young.

Best of all, my parents despised them.

Ach you'd have got on fine with 'em John - for they too were stage of rage.

Oh yeah.

Now never mind this Crasstafari Aye,

HEADS UP A certain Gidget has got a certain birthday and like soooooon....
