FM 94/9 Miller Lite Independence Jam

Post by obiwankobe »

This year’s FM 94/9 Miller Lite Independence Jam is happening on Sunday, June 10th. Independence Jam will be significantly different from year’s past. We’re moving to the lush, spacious grass field of Devore Stadium at Southwestern College. We’re adding The Casbah Local 94/9 Stage. And, perhaps most importantly, we’ve figured out how to avoid having you pay the exorbitant service fees that have become the norm on shows.

It's possible that the line up for this year's FM 94/9 Miller Lite Independence Jam is our best yet. It’s the return of Interpol, who haven’t played in San Diego since 2005. One of the most ferocious live bands around in Kings of Leon, who have been hand-picked by artists like U2 and Bob Dylan to open for them. Plus, Spoon will be there, along with Living Things, The Aggrolites and Test Your Reflex. Then on The Casbah Local 94/9 Stage, we’ll feature some of San Diego’s best local bands, Grand Ole Party, Mr. Tube & The Flying Objects, Transfer, The SoftLightes and a reunited Scarlet Symphony. Independence Jam will be a full day of music on two stages.

If you’re wondering about tickets, here’s the good news. As an FM 94/9 Insider, you can buy them right now through our pre-sale. The pre-sale will go on until 10pm tomorrow night, that’s Friday, May 11th. Your password is HELLO. Just a reminder, tickets are $40 with NO service fees and includes $1.00 charity donation and free parking. The pre-sale is only available to FM 94/9 Insiders through this email.

If you don’t feel comfortable buying tickets on-line, you’ll have to wait until 10am on Saturday, May 12th when they go on-sale to the general public. Tickets will be available at the following locally owned, independent retailers: Lou’s Records in Encinitas, M-Theory Music in Mission Hills or either of the San Diego Hydroponics and Organics locations (Cuyamaca Street in El Cajon or Napier Street in Pacific Beach).

We will donate $1.00 of every ticket sold to the “About the Music” fund to raise money for music education programs in the San Diego County Public Schools. We’d like to thank our friends at the Miller Brewing Company and the Scion Dealers of San Diego for supporting Independence Jam.

We hope you are as excited for the FM 94/9 Miller Lite Independence Jam as we are. We’ll see you for a great day of music at Southwestern College's Devore Stadium on Sunday, June 10th.

As always, thanks for being an Insider.

Sincerely,

Owen – FM 94/9 Promotions
