This week, both the Huntington Beach Independent newspaper and the Orange County Register will carry stories describing a serious crisis threatening Dog Beach. The City of Huntington Beach has asked us to vacate the bluff at Dog Beach, no longer allowing us to display Dog Beach gifts, T-shirts and caps: the donations made on the bluff are our main source of revenue and help pay expenses to maintain the well being of Dog Beach.

Without our representatives on the bluff, we would not be able to monitor dogs entering Dog Beach and would be unable to continue to maintain the safety of Dog Beach or pay Dog Beach expenses.

The City has revoked our permit to remain on the bluff and we ask your assistance by downloading the attached PETITION form that gives us your support. Please obtain as many signatures as possible and mail the form(s) back to us as soon as possible or hand them to a HDB representative at Dog Beach on the weekend.

My dog used to have a blast there....tennis balls

As I understand it the conroversy is over that
organiztion selling stuff in the parking lot on the
bluffs over the beach. I dont think the city wants
to shut it down....but then you see how they're trying
to make HB a resort town
