Just about the time Rod Stewarts cover of "twisting" weened
me off of the Osmonds I spent Saturday mornings laughing n
dancing with Monkees

How bout you?...yeah they were label puppets...but they also
had musical legitamacy too....why else would a certain "punk"
band cover "Not your stepping stone"?????

Still got my old Monkee LPs. I take them out for a spin on the turntable every now & then. Some of it is still good, especially the Nesmith, Nilsson & Diamond penned tunes & the rest is still good for a laugh
