There's been a buzz about this? why wasn't I informed?
Had to read it on msn.com

..anyway

(cockney accent)
Doesn't that seem anachronistic?..a veritable
time machine it is!

Almost as big o story as Zeppelin playing again

(shloemoe duck as missles fly by)
Having abandoned my search for truth,
I am now looking for a good fantasy.

[verse 1]
Saying I Love You
Is Not The Words I Want To Hear From You
Its Not That I Want You Not To Say
But If You Only Knew
How Easy It Would Be To Show Me How You Feel

More Than Words
Is All You Have To Do To Make It Real
Then You Wouldn't Have To Say
That You Love Me, Yeah
Cause I'd Already Know.

[verse 2]
What Would You Do (what Would You Do)
If My Heart Was Torn In Two?
More Than Words To Show You Feel
That Your Love For Me Is Real
What Would You Say
If I Took Those Words Away
Then You Couldn't Make Things New
Just By Saying I Love You

(just Saying I Love You, Saying I Love You)
More Than Words
(just Saying I Love You, Saying I Love You)

[verse 3]
Now That I've Tried To (now That I've Tried To)
Talk To You And Make You Understand
All You Have To Do Is
Close Your Eyes And Just Reach Out Your Hand
And Touch Me
Hold Me Close Don't Ever Let Me Go

More Than Words
Is All I Ever Needed You To Show
Then You Wouldn't Have To Say
That You Love Me, Yeah
Cause I'd Already Know

(just Saying I Love You, Saying I Love You)
More Than Words
[repeat Till Fade] :?:

Here is list of songs that might make good covers for The Sex Pistols.

It is the kids who know what is a good song to cover for their bands, not the greedy record labels.

I am still trying to save to buy a guitar amp. When I can afford one I am gonna hit the big time. Maybe get a gig at the Anti-Club.

I might send ASCAP round to Kentucky to knock on those guys doors and make them pay up.

If The Sex Pistols don't do it...I will...

Girl
I can't understand it why you want to hurt me
After all the things I've done for you.
I buy you champagne and roses and diamonds on your finger -
Diamonds on your finger -
Still you hang out all night
what am I to do?

My girl wants to party all the time

Party all the time
party all the time.
My girl wants to party all the time
party all the time.

She parties all the time - party all the time

She likes to party all the time - party all the time

party all the time - she likes to party all the time

party all the time.

Girl
I've seen you in clubs just hanging out and dancing.
You give your number to every man you see.
You never come home at night because you're out romancing.
I wish you bring some of your love home to me.

But my girl wants to party all the time
. . .
My girl wants to party all the time
. . .

Party
party
party she likes to party all the time.
She likes to party all the time -
She lets her hair down
she lets her body down:
She lets her body
she lets her body down.
Party all the time - do you wanna get any party
yeah.
Party all the time - party all the time.

Richard Marx - Right Here Waiting

Oceans apart day after day
And I slowly go insane
I hear your voice on the line
But it doesn't stop the pain

If I see you next to never
How can we say forever

Wherever you go
Whatever you do
I will be right here waiting for you
Whatever it takes
Or how my heart breaks
I will be right here waiting for you

I took for granted, all the times
That I though would last somehow
I hear the laughter, I taste the tears
But I can't get near you now

Oh, can't you see it baby
You've got me goin' CrAzY

Wherever you go
Whatever you do
I will be right here waiting for you
Whatever it takes
Or how my heart breaks
I will be right here waiting for you

I wonder how we can survive
This romance
But in the end if I'm with you
I'll take the chance

Oh, can't you see it baby
You've got me goin' cRaZy

Wherever you go
Whatever you do
I will be right here waiting for you
Whatever it takes
Or how my heart breaks
I will be right here waiting for you

The drums, the coronet 'n' trumpet,
Still now my beating heart..

"HELL"
(Squirrel Nut Zippers)
you seen the video

In the afterlife
You could be headed for the serious strife
Now you make the scene all day
But tomorrow therell be hell to pay

People listen attentively
I mean about future calamity
I used to think the idea was obsolete
Until I heard the old man stamping his feet.

This is a place where eternally
Fire is applied to the body
Teeth are extruded and bones are ground
Then baked into cakes which are passed around.

Beauty, talent, fame, money, refinement
Top skill and brain
But all the things you try to hide
Will be revealed on the other side.

Now the d and the a and the m
And the n and the a
And the t and the i-o-n
Lose your face, lose your name
Then get fitted for a suit of flame
Having abandoned my search for truth,
I am now looking for a good fantasy.

First off, I must warn you, I am currently enrolled in music 262 "Music As A Business" so consider myself an expert in the area. I have also read up to page 288 of the required reading "All You Need to Know About The Music Industry"

I sugest you back down from such a challenge and save face, otherwise certain slaughter & public humiliation will follow the debate.

We have no clue as to what order we played these songs in, but here are the ones that we remember.

Set One:

Ice Cream Man

A Whore Called Renee (Fliess Cover)

Vandium

White Lace

Green Fur Trip

Vandalism

Two Many Puppies (Primus Cover)

Drain You (Nirvana Cover)

Yeah JR, right again. That does suck. Though John thinks that this Roxy gig will be like the one off SPOTS tour in 77 (Sex Pistols on tour secretly). Small and intimate. I think it does suck big time. But this might not be the only gig in the US.

Come over to the Manchester Evening News gig and see 'em. I'll be standing somewhere. There's still seats available too.

Mind you I will only be happy when that ticket is in my hand. Actually I'll only be happy when I'm at the gig , shoutin my fuckin' head of...why I might even have a few ales officer....

Cheers

Yeah and Canada too

What I would like to see at Manchester would be the Damned, Buzzcocks and the Pistols all wrapped up togther like in one packet.

But it does suck when I see this phone-in competition. Reminds me of the strong disillusion there was amongst the UK punx whose minds had by then been opened by the likes of the Anarcho Hippies Crass - pre the Exploited and OI.

Virgin's release of "Flogging a dead horse." seemed to only confirm then that whole cupboard is bare but you mugs will still pay attitude of the record company.

Fast forward to now. Virgin are rereleasing GSTQ, AUK, PV and HITS culminatin' in NMTB and it sounds like a nice package. What with the Submission single and repro of the Reid poster. At the time those things were like a holy grail, mythic, who the fuck had one of those?

Whilst the sps are all still alive and if any of you have any chance financially or geographically, grab a bloody ticket and go.

Die Toten Hosen. Carnival in Rio.

Dad - what was punkrock...?

Punk was rotten, punk was vicious,
always being unambitious.
Punk was a piss-up, punk was a punch-up,
picking your nose and chucking your lunch up.
Punk was obnoxious, punk was obscene,
having a pop at our dear Queen.
Punk was a twisted tasteless trip,
Woah punk was a pin through her majesty's lip.

We never took shit from no one, we just didn't give a fuck.
If you didn't like our music, that was just your bloody hard luck.

Punk was a riot, every night a rumble,
a nice bit o'blow and a nice bit o'crumble.
Punk was sleazy, punk was a slum,
polaroid pics in bed with your mum.
Punk was unhealthy, quite unclean,
it was a mockery, malignant mean.
Punk was criminal, punk was a con,
and so was our favourite fugitive Ron.

We never took shit from no one, we just didn't give a fuck.
If you didn't like our music, that was just your bloody hard luck.

Now open your eyes and listen my son, there's no reason to be sad. Just hang around and stay with us, it'll all be coming back.

We never took shit from no one, we just didn't give a fuck.
If you didn't like our music, that was just your bloody hard luck.

O/wise - it sucks.

I like that idea of the Pistols playing a nut house John!

A lot.

Is it easier to get visas for Canada than it is for the US?

You know how told me about Die Toten Hosen? Pete Dee from The Adicts. He was wearing a jacket with a patch on it that said Die Toten Hosen and I asked him what it was and he told me it was a great band. So, I downloaded some stuff and he's right. Pretty good music! If you haven't heard them then you should download them and check them out!
And if you've never seen it with your own eyes, it just don't make sense!- Josie

Sex Pistols last night
Nice to know all the Indie DJs got to go. Way to rub it in our faces.
And some idiot sneaked in and hit lydon with a drink.

Reuters Link

"The combustible singer was in cheerily sarcastic form for much of the night. When a young woman bounded onto the knee-high stage and hugged guitarist Steve Jones, 52, in the middle of a song, Lydon quipped: "Steve Jones always gets the fat ones!" "

The band first reunited in 1996 and then again in 2002 and 2003. Lydon and Jones live in Los Angeles, the others in London. Jones has perhaps the highest profile of the lot, hosting a popular Los Angeles midday radio show.
