Sounds like Jet with different accents. It was probably their drummer that posted since his name is also David. Says so on their myspace (which, according to informed sources, still blows goats).

a lot of bands nowadays seem to sound like other bands. i guess thats what happens with the globalization of music through the internet.

Interesting "JET" comparison there, but did you mean that comment as a negative or positive thing? Anyway the Ronelles album "MOTEL" will be released on the 27th March and it's great IMHO...

Sorry about the name assumption & don't take the "blow goats" reference personally. It is just our fun little way of describing Myspace around here, not that we aren't all members. The JET reference was positive. The Ronelles seem to combine Jet's raunchy straight ahead rock style with classic british invasion. It's pretty good. I wouldn't buy the album but I might download a song or two.
