Albert Hammond Jr., also known as the Strokes guitarist with the fluffiest hair, will release a solo album, Yours To Keep, October 9, according to NME.com.
Guests on the album are said to include Sean Lennon, Ben Kweller, Judy Porter from Fountains Of Wayne and Strokes manager Ryan Gentles, among others.

Word. I got a less-detailed bulletin from MySpace stating the same. I love Albert. Probably my favorite member, along with Jules. Any idea if he's going to be singing on these tracks? I would assume he will be, like John Frusciante's solo work. But Albert doesn't even sing up backup vocals on the Strokes' albums. It seems like there's enough guest artists appearing to sing lead if he just wants to play the geetar.

I missed both LA shows. I got tickets from Indie, Albert himself gave me a pair... and I couldn't make it.
