This morning on Dicky's show, right after the Elvis Costello (High Fidelity) which made me cry, there was this song, with the lyrics:

"it's hard, I know. Be strong. hold on."

Great song. Also made me cry. But then made me strong. It was actually really helpful to my day.

Anyone know who sings it?

Okay, again after doing some tweaking on your lyrics I found the song. It's the Hippos - Hold On. And to verify, I checked with Dicky's playlist today and that song was indeed on there. The Hippos are a great little ska band from So Cali. Saw 'em years ago open for Blink-182 along with Homegrown. They write some sweet, sappy lyrics sometimes.
