It's probably best just to link to Stu's site daily so it is easy to find the playlist & commentary. As stated ,otherwise no one will go there after all his hard work.

I wonder if Stu room has a nice big Fleiss banner on his site te he he

Okay, so I went from liking the Bosstones and thinking Dicky was a pretty good DJ to now I think he's freaking awesome. Just reading the songlist from Tuesday's ska day was enough to make me regret not being able to stream Indie at work. So many bands (Reel Big Fish, DHC) and songs that I've listened to since high school (My Town followed by Suburbia!) and others that I've never even heard about but must go download when I get home (My Superhero's cover of Ready, Steady, Go!). In addition, he played Codename: Rocky. They never really got much exposure, but they're a cool So Cal ska band that played with my friend's band Routine Riot on a few occassions. I can't even imagine what it'd be like to hear Routine Riot on Indie sometime. But to top it all off, Dicky goes and plays Goldfinger on Wednesday's show. I hope this becomes a regular thing for the Mighty Morning Show as GF have been one of my favorite bands since I heard Here in Your Bedroom in 1996 and have been following them ever since.

Rock on, Angel of the Morning!

Haha. Gidge! You've really gotta stop referring to your son as "Himself." I read your post last week about Rat Scabies and didn't notice the capitalization on "Himself", so I read it as "Rat Scabies gave a shout out to himself." In other words, Rat Scabies gave a shout out to Rat Scabies for his own birthday. lol I was like....okay, that's kinda neat but I don't see why that's so special. Now that I read your post here I can see that he actually gave your son a shout out for his birthday. Now THAT is just too cool! I can see why you were so excited and grateful to Dicky.
How old is he now? And what's his actual name again? I know you told me once, but I've forgotten. It's something quite unique, and I think from Irish decent, and not Joe (much to his dismay).

I will PM his name to you. I don't say it out loud because in these days and ages, people do and say sick shit about your children when pissed off or drunk. My son has a VERY Irish name and it was WONDERFUL of him to say happy birthday to The Kid aka Himself.....

p.s Buddyhead didnt like this playlist.

You can't please all the people all the time. Three of the songs he played for Himself, aka The Kid, in honor of his birthday....I requested two and Dicky threw in the Shattered Faith song probably becuase he knows I like them.

Also, Chino (Rue)'s nephew had a birthday the week before and Dicky did the same for Shane, played a Shattered Faith song that Paul Jaime, Shane's father and Rue's brother, played bass on.

As most of you know, Paul passed away New Years, so, this was especially sweet and generous of Dicky. To hear his father play punk rock on the radio, MORNING RADIO, was a beautiful gift and I am grateful that Dicky has such a big heart and is so willing to play things that are requested by and for his listeners.

I know Dicky doesn't like effusive praise, but there are times that kind words and thoughts can heal a breaking heart....
