It's like bad college radio... My boyfriend has a conspiracy theory that the Station is deliberatly weakening it's line-up so that they can change format to a more profitable one, and claim, "there wasn't any support in the marketplace."

What a drag, now I listen to my own music on the drive in....

That conspiracy theory would make more sense but sadly, I think Indie actually believes they made the right choice. He already is on the payroll & is known on the station because of his "legal" show. The fact that he screwed over the other members of the Vandals after he joined the band is probably lost on the younger market that Indie is going after. I'm sure Indie thinks that having any old punker doing the show, even Escalante,
is a great idea. More to the point, he is conservative & controllable. He will play whatever music they tell him to & he won't bash Bush, the war, or the "pro-lifers". And he will never run out of stories to tell, even if he has to make them up or steal other people's stories.
I tried to listen to him before when he was just subbing & it was truly terrible. Now that I know that he enjoys torturing & killings animals in the "sport" of bullfighting, I wouldn't listen to him even if his show was good!

When I was doing my five minutes yesterday....they played the Germs....and he asked who ever really spins the shit there...YOU DIDN'T JUST PLAY THAT, DID YOU???? What a sell out jack ass.....
