Stars Launch North American Tour Tonight

We can't think of a less rock and roll setting than somewhere called the Ramada Conference Centre, but apparently our Canadian indie-poppin' friends Stars disagree. Tonight, they kick off their month-long North American tour in just such a place-- in ass-kickin' Winnipeg, no less.

For the opening Canadian leg of the trek, Stars will be supported by a band called the Thurston Revival, who we hope only play covers of Thurston Moore's underrated 1995 solo album Psychic Hearts. As reported last month, Stars will meet up with the Elected for the first half of the American leg.

Oh wait, is a place called Dinwoodie Lounge in Edmonton, Alberta less rock and roll than a Ramada in Winnipeg? We'll leave that up to you to decide.
