The Ranconteurs Announce North American Tour

Post by obiwankobe »

Kati Llewellyn reports:
I just checked my watch, and yeah... it's about goddamn time. With the U.S. release of their debut album, Broken Boy Soldiers, happening today courtesy of Third Man Records/V2, the Raconteurs couldn't hold in a North American tour any longer. The Jack White/Brendan Benson/Greenhornes collab tried to help itself, but they just had to type type type (or pay someone else to do so) a long list of new gigs in that old green Apple computer font on their official website. The result?

Racontour:

05-18 New York, NY - Tower Records (instore)
06-07 Los Angeles, CA - Henry Fonda Theater
06-21 London, England - Hyde Park (Wireless Festival)
06-24 Scheesel, Germany - Hurricane Festival
06-25 Neuhausen O.E., Germany - Southside Festival
07-01 Werchter, Belgium - Werchter Festival
07-02 Roskilde, Denmark - Roskilde Festival
07-03 Malmo, Sweden - Folkets Park (Accelerator)
07-05 Kristiansand, Norway - Quart Festival
07-06 Stockholm, Sweden - Münchenbryggeriet (Accelerator)
07-16 Denver, CO - Fillmore Auditorium
07-18 Tempe, AZ - Marquee Theatre
07-19 San Diego, CA - Soma
07-21 Los Angeles, Ca - Wiltern Theatre
07-23 San Francisco, CA - Warfield Theatre
07-25 Portland, OR - Roseland Theatre
07-26 Vancouver, British Columbia - Malkin Bowl
07-27 Seattle, WA - Moore Theatre
08-03 Minneapolis, MN - First Avenue
08-04 Chicago, IL - Grant Park (Lollapalooza)
08-05 Ann Arbor, MI - Michigan Theatre
08-06 Cleveland, OH - House of Blues

Those unable to score tickets can click on NBC Thursday night (May 18) to catch the Raconteurs and some LOLs on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien". Also, the Raconteurs’ live session on the World Café radio show will be re-broadcast on May 29.

In more pressing news, Jack White recently became a first-time daddy. In keeping with the White Stripes' infamous color scheme, he and his wife Karen Elson named their new baby girl Scarlett. HahahhAwwww.
