I know ya probably weren't talking about us Rotter, but before we get accused of bein' corporate or slick, you should know that Punk Rock Social - LIVE and Hooligan High are 100% DIY shows. Me and my gal Julia got tired of sitting through 3 or 4 crap bands for every 1 good band, and decided that SoCal deserves much better shows. We've found there is a HUGE number of great local bands, just under the radar.
Our promotions may look slick, but that's just cuz we put some effort into our posters and sites (and lineups!). Except for the illustrations (done by Ed Reynolds, Dave Leamon, and occasionally me), we do all the layout and websites ourselves.
Hope to see all you cunts at a show!

It was a fun show! Rabies did great, as did Bad Reaction and Uprising. I missed unit F, because I was at the 99 cent store. TSOL was, predictibly, really great - they did the "all requests" set again and had people going nuts. Fishy won a skateboard deck, and Jen won a t-shirt. Another friend won the guitar! It was great seeing friends get prizes!
Safari Sam's was hot, but not many places haven't been the last week or so - they had free ice water, a comfortable out door area, clean working bathrooms, and plenty of room to check things out. I am glad I got to check out the venue. Since opening I've been waiting for a show that would make me want to go there - and this one was perfect!
Oh, yeah, and I drank 1/2 an energy drink before I drove home, and ended up staring at the ceiling for an hour before I could go night night... Darn Rabies and their energy drinks!
Oh, and Rotter, I forgot to show my tits... Oh well, there's always tomorrow at Buzzcocks!
