Björk's Sugarcubes Reuniting for One ShowBy JONATHAN COHEN, Reuters
NEW YORK (Sept. 19) - Iceland's top rock export the Sugarcubes will reunite on Nov. 17 to play their first show in 14 years, according to a Web site posting from Bjork, the group's most famous member.
The Sugarcubes' concert in the Icelandic capital of Reykjavik will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut single, "Birthday."
Proceeds from the show will be donated to the band's Smekkleysa SM label, which "will continue to work on a non-profit basis for the future betterment of Icelandic music and artists," according to Bjork (http://www.bjork.com).
The Sugarcubes broke through internationally with their 1988 debut, "Life's Too Good," which featured the Billboard Modern Rock hits "Regina" and "Motorcrash." The group broke up following the release of its 1992 album "Stick Around for Joy," and Bjork embarked on a successful solo career.

Bjork also was in a band called KUKL before the Sugarcubes. Very cool/weird stuff on Crass Records.
I would love to see the Sugar cubes. Loved them when I was a teeneager. Birthday, Motorcrash are such cool songs.
