Electrelane to Support Le Tigre

For the most part, girls just want to have fun. And what's more fun than all-female dance rock bands? Maybe two all-female dance rock bands. That's right femme friends, Electrelane, the British-based foursome whose latest release Axes popped up a mere 15 months after their last album, will be hitting the road with chic chick rockers Le Tigre.

The album, out on Too Pure Records, was recorded mostly live over Christmas in 2004 "like a gig played with total freedom," according to their reps. Electrelane, otherwise known as Mia Clarke, Verity Susman, Emma Gaze, and Ros Murray, recorded with underground music producer Steve Albini. The ladies will be in for quite a trip, opening for major label players Le Tigre and their rapidly growing fan base. It is sure to be a dance pop riot, grrrls.
