Another season, another Bright Eyes tour. This autumn, as the weather turns chilly, warm your broken heart by the light of Conor Oberst’s smile and tortured indie-folk dirges. Fresh off a tour in Europe that included a climactic performance at the Glastonbury festival (he insulted John Peel’s memory and made out with Amanda Palmer of the Dresden Dolls—who happened to be completely naked), the Sad-Eyed Poet of the Lowlands will embark on a month-long trek across these here United States. This time he'll be backed up by a “traditional Bright Eyes lineup”, according to a press release and will be “blending material from all of the stunning Bright Eyes releases to date”. English, Scottish and Canadian friends Magic Numbers, Sons & Daughters and Feist will be sharing opening duties, and Spoon will join Oberst and co. for a hometown gig in Omaha on November 11.
