I suppose I should be careful not to seem pompous or offensive, and please Josie dont be offended. Should by chance some seed of truthDIsPervertNurse wrote:Weather is cyclical and right now we are in the higher heat cycle. The only unfortunate part about this is that this cycle will last quite some time. At least, this is my beliefs anyway. For example, we are in a Geological Ice Age right now and we are just now finally coming out of it. This planet is supposed to be warmer than it is right now. Most of it being like a tropical or rain forest type of flora and fauna. But again, I'm a bit of a strange one and have very different ideas on what is going on with the planet. I fully believe that this is earth's cycle and nothing will stop it. Can we improve the environment, yes, we sure can, but can we stop global warming, I don't believe that we can. I know you schloe will probably tear this post to threads and pieces, but, maybe I'm just pessimist, which wouldn't surprise me either. LOL

People are similar.....we all shitchriswasanon wrote:I thought the Ice Age ended about 10,000 years ago.
Though pockets existed afterwards. The late Glacial they call it. Pretty interesting methinks cos the Ice age and Glaciers scoured the earth so thoroughly that they "pretty much" obliterated any evidence of strange ape-like beings who roved the planet.
But here's something else that is interesting.

The weirdest thing about humanity finding itself incapable of co-operation is this though
"... people all over the world are amazingly similar."
Yes it's Global warming, yes we have to do something. Sh you are not intending to now become the Anti-Christ I hope.
Awaiting your next incarnation with bated breath.

spill out of me it wont get a chance to grow if a person feels they're
being called ignorant. Though really an admission of ignorance is the
first step to learning. I know I'm ignorant...that's how I find little cubby
holes in my mind to store new things in....but anyway..there's at least
several tools to discover things...faith,intuition,....um science...
The last one draws on a vast body of previous truths that have held up to
rigorous scrutiny...the first to not so much...to just belive something doesn't neccesaryaly(sp?) make it so. Scientist agree that the last ice
age (The Pleistocene)ended 10,000 years ago and with minor variations
conditions have remained the same...so I dont know what you mean
when you say we are in an ice age.....
...anyway I am starting to sound poindextery, the lords of cool might be
offended...um I doubt we can reverse global warming too. We are not sophisticated enough as a species to be that "together" on something.
We are after all just naked apes who've developed complex tool use
and Language...but the EVIDENCE is idicated that we've cause this
global warming trend and that it is not JUST a normal cycle.
...anyway before I get rid of my avatar let's all bow our heads and pray.
...maybe that will help?
Yeah, really. For me (Fullerton), it was hot as Hell all weekend long. Then I wake up Sunday and noticed my car is streaked. Apparently it rained in the morning. WTF? I think Al Gore's on to something.July Cleaver wrote:This weekend was very strange, indeed weather wise.
Friday, it was cool at my house, went to Huntington beach, friday night, and it was a bit warmer, but not unbearable. I actually put on a long sleeve shirt over my tank top, when I was standing outside at 2 am...
Saturday, no breeze in San Clemente - picked up some friends in westminster, where it was 98, and drove to Corona to see some bands. Corona was 110, and at about 7 pm after some very impressive lightning strikes, there was a downpour, which dropped the temp to the mid-eighties. The rain stopped, and the temp went right back up... after dark... The club's airconditioning was undersized for those conditions, so there was one little space (probably 3 ft by 6 ft) that the ac actually cooled the air. That's where I spent most of my time. Ice water was $3
Sunday, again no breeze in San Clemente, it was 84 when I left the house at 6 to go to Hollywood. 100 degrees in Hollywood, but the club was a little bit cooler. They gave out free ice water, which was great. Got back in my car at 12:30, and it was 80 degrees, which felt really great with the windows down, driving down the freeway...
Today, again with the no breeze, but it is a little bit cooler... Thank God for the swimming pool!
Haha. You suck, Rott! We're roasting over here in Cali-for-ni-a. And still have drizzle and thunder to boost. But I'll have my vengeance when it's winter and you're freezing your nuts off in an igloo. Bwahaha. Where in Canada do you live again?rotter wrote:......and in grand ol' Canada...all is tits!Nice and cool too...I like it
